Tidak dipungkiri, banyak hal dalam pelajaran bahasa Inggris yang tidak disukai oleh siswa. Kebanyakan menganggap bahwa pelajaran ini mempunyai materi super sulit yang bahkan tidak mampu mereka kuasai. Sejatinya, tidak ada masalah dengan bahasa inggris atau materinya, namun yang menjadi masalah adalah bagaimana seorang guru membawakannya ke dalam kelas.

Melalui film, siswa akan mendapatkan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris kemudian juga hiburan, sehingga mereka terhindar dari rasa bosan.

Siswa itu tidak menyukai hal-hal yang sulit. Mereka cenderung enggan untuk melakukan sesuatu yang rumit seperti menghafal dan menulis banyak kalimat. Kalau mereka sangat enggan untuk melakukan kedua hal tersebut, maka jangan terus-terusan melakukan teknik tersebut.

Karena, ketika sudah tidak suka dengan metode Anda, kemudian terus dipaksa untuk melakukannya. Maka pembelajaran bisa gagal!

Jadikan bahasa Inggris sebagai situasi pembelajaran yang santai. Perbanyaklah games yang membuat siswa belajar secara tidak langsung. Ketika Anda masih berkutat sebagai guru pemberi hafalan dan penulisan kalimat yang segudang, maka bersiaplah dibenci oleh siswa.

Malin Kundang

A long time ago, in a small village near the beach in West Sumatra, a woman and her son lived. They were Malin Kundang and her mother. Her mother was a single parent because Malin Kundang's father had passed away when he was a baby. Malin Kundang had to live hard with his mother.

Malin Kundang was a healthy, dilligent, and strong boy. He usually went to sea to catch fish. After getting fish he would bring it to his mother, or sold the caught fish in the town. 

One day, when Malin Kundang was sailing, he saw a merchant's ship which was being raided by a small band of pirates. He helped the merchant. With his brave and power, Malin Kundang defeated the pirates. The merchant was so happy and thanked to him. In return the merchant asked Malin Kundang to sail with him. To get a better life, Malin Kundang agreed. He left his mother alone.

Cinderella

Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Cinderella. She lived with her step mother and two step sisters. The step mother and sisters were conceited and bad tempered. They treated Cinderella very badly. Her step mother made Cinderella do the hardest works in the house; such as scrubbing the floor, cleaning the pot and pan and preparing the food for the family. The two step sisters, on the other hand, did not work about the house. Their mother gave them many handsome dresses to wear.

One day, the two step sister received an invitation to the ball that the king’s son was going to give at the palace. They were excited about this and spent so much time choosing the dresses they would wear. At last, the day of the ball came, and away went the sisters to it. Cinderella could not help crying after they had left.

Lake Toba

Once upon a time, there was a man who was living in north Sumatra. He lived in a simple hut in a farming field. The did some gardening and fishing for his daily life.

One day, while the man was do fishing, he caught a big golden fish in his trap. It was the biggest catch which he ever had in his life. Surprisingly, this fish turned into a beautiful princess. He felt in love with her and proposed her to be his wife. She said; "Yes, but you have to promise not to tell anyone about the secret that I was once a fish, otherwise there will be a huge disaster". The man made the deal and they got married, lived happily and had a daughter.

Tips For Learning English Spoken

To improve your English you can try several methods, Some of those methods are :

1. Reading at your current level of comprehension simple books , articles,magazines, online and offline.

You can look up new words that come your way in the dictionary and write them down .By repeating and reading them now and then it helps you increase your vocabulary .

2. Listening to lyrics of songs in English ,watching movies in English etc all helps you get hold of the accent and learn new words and expressions.
